Jim Putman has been specializing in workers’ compensation claims administration since 1978. Prior to founding Putman & Associates, Inc., Jim was instrumental in developing a large multi-line claims adjusting office for Crawford & Company. Jim founded Putman & Associates in 1989, and was instrumental in developing his company from a one person office into a to a leading regional TPA with a broad clientele consisting of multiple private insurance companies, national TPA’s and self-insured clients in the medical, timber, mining, transportation, and retail sales industries serviced from offices located in Montana, Idaho and Washington.

Jim had been associated with Brentwood Services Administrators, Inc. as a consultant prior to the integration of Putman & Associates, Inc into the Brentwood family.  He now concentrates on major litigation claims, training and supervision of medical industry claims administration in the Northwest Region.

A native of Grants Pass, Oregon, Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organization Communication with a minor in Psychology from the University of Wyoming.  He is currently a board member at Mountain West Bank. Jim’s hobbies and interests include sailing, hunting, fly fishing and spending time with his five grandchildren.
