Mike is a graduate of both IVY Tech, and McKendree College, both with a degree in Business Administration.  He also is a 15 year veteran of the United States Navy and Navy Reserve. Mike began his career in Claims in 1983 working for American Commercial Barge Line Company, as an Admiralty Adjuster.  There he handled various types of claims ranging from import and export cargo, maritime equipment, Jones Act, and Corporate auto fleet.  In 1986 Mike went to work for American States Insurance Company, working a mix of Personal Lines and Commercial Lines claims in the State of Kentucky.  He was also on American States Storm and Catastrophe Team working claims in the Mid-West including Kansas, and Oklahoma.  In 1994 Mike joined Willis, where he created a Litigation Management Unit which was heavily involved in Lloyds All Lines Aggregate Coverage (ALA) in Kentucky and Indiana.  In 2000 Mike arrived at Bituminous Casualty Corp. where he provided Commercial Lines claims handling support in Kentucky and Tennessee, specializing in heavy construction and natural resource exploration and development.   Mike joined Brentwood Services Administrators, Inc. in 2006 as a Sr. Claims Representative.  Less than a year later Mike was promoted to the Louisville, Kentucky claims office Claims Managers position.   In this position Mike manages 2 Workers Compensation Units, and 1 Property and Casualty Unit which Mike also personally supervises.

Mike holds the professional designations of AIC and CCLA.  He also has a Kentucky Claims Adjustor’s license.
